  • The Democrats Mess

    Posted: 05:40, March 28, 2008

What a mess the Democratic Party is in right now. And before I go any further, I already know that all kinds of people are yammering about the big ripple in the Obama/Clinton pond…or should I say lake, and I’m going to get my two cents in. First off, isn’t it funny how the Democrats were so high on the idea that starting the primaries and caucuses earlier than what we’ve known forever would somehow help them secure the White House for 2009, and that all of that early push in campaigning, starting basically in February of 2007 would help seal the deal. The American people would get to know them early on and know them well. Hmm…most polls taken right now are showing that the American people are not only tired of seeing the two candidates on their TV screens night and day but that we’re ultra-tired of the garbage that is surfacing between the two candidates. By all appearances it would seem that the plan has really backfired and has had the direct opposite effect intended.

Many of us have known for sometime now just what kind of person Hillary Clinton is. A conniving, two-faced, power-mongering hypocrite with no more concern for the American people than I have for white cockroaches. I’m guessing that her and her “people” didn’t factor in that by starting this campaigning so early, she might be exposed before taking the oath of office. It looks like she’s now earned a spot in the league of swiftboaters…just like her fellow liberal John Kerry. By now everyone knows about her huge Bosnia-- we had to duck and run for cover story. And by now everyone has seen the video of her sauntering casually over to the crowd and then leaning down to listen to a cute little poem written by a cute little girl. No gunfire, no ducking or running for cover…no nothing. You or I would have no idea as to what to do with the ensuing public humiliation…not Hillary. Years of experience have taught her how to wrangle out of things, however not this time.

But you see with her it doesn’t really stop there if you think about it. She says that she was tired and that she had been making many stops and that she was bleary-eyed etc. Ok…what would happen Hillary if you were on a president’s schedule and had an ultra important decision to make? Perhaps it involved something terrorism related or worse yet nuclear related and you were tired and bleary-eyed and had been up all night the night before, and you had to make an executive decision immediately? Or what about your campaign commercial where you describe yourself as being the one best suited to handle that 3:00 am phone call coming from the red phone; would you or could you wake up at 3:00 am to answer the phone? And would you be able to digest and understand what was being said…and could you handle whatever the issue might be? It looks to a growing population that the hole you’ve been digging for yourself is just getting deeper and deeper and deeper. I can tell you that it comes as no shock or surprise Hillary. You’ve been exposed….

Another problem Hillary has is none other that her husband, Bill Clinton. The man desperately wants to sway the people and have them believe that his wife is the only choice for president. He still believes the tag he was given years ago the he is the “great orator”. Say for a minute that there was any truth to that…he is the “great liar”, and he reeks of it so what good are any of his stump speeches for Hillary? The Clinton’s are in real trouble and it shows. They used to be the media darlings, the mainstream media, like ABC, CBS and NBC just loved them both and they could do no wrong. And now the powerful network nightly news programs are all over her and it’s hurting her. She’s not used to that kind of treatment from them…it could be bye-bye Hillary.

Now there’s Barack Hussein Obama; and it’s getting worse for him too. He and his people are starting to take a second look at what they thought was going to be a free and easy ride to the White House. Even with all of Hillary Clinton’s troubles his are mounting, and even though he has been the darling of the media since the beginning, they cannot take the same risk as they did with the Clinton’s and look the other way when there are real questions that need answering. Obama now finds himself wound up in a controversy over his pastor of 20 years, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. By now most people have heard about the race geared, hate filled sermons that damn America, claims that the white man invented AIDS to kill the black man and then his anti-Semitists remarks. Obama’s response to all of this and more is not good. Either he never recalls hearing things like that in the 20 years of attending his church…or, he wasn’t there those particular days. This is some of what Barack Obama had to say in defense of his pastor:

"For the men and women of Rev. Wright's generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years. That anger may not get expressed in public, in front of white co-workers or white friends. But it does find voice in the barbershop or around the kitchen table."

Recently Obama gave a speech in response to the revelations of the pastor’s sermons. Sorry-assed liberal commentator Chris Matthews compared the speech to the Gettysburg Address, others thought it to be sufficient enough to give Obama a pass…and many others are left wondering; why wouldn’t you disassociate yourself from this man the moment you realized just what it is he’s preaching about? And also why didn’t you even touch on the anti-Semitist comments in your speech?

If you read Obama’s speech you’ll find it full of angst, despair, hatred and race. While he may have thought it to be words of hope and of the changes that he so eloquently speaks of…they weren’t. He’s brought hate and racism into his campaign and though it may be subtle, it’s there. We’re also learning now that Rev. Wright has close ties to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and we’re learning that Wright has recently awarded Farrakhan the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter award, saying Farrakhan ”truly epitomizes greatness”. Not only that, but Wright joined Farrakhan in 1984 on a trip to Libya to visit with Moammar Gadhafi. What are we to make of this? And what are we to make of Obama’s wife Michelle? Who much like the wife of John Kerry, Treasa Heinz Kerry, doesn’t seem to know how and when to keep her mouth shut. Spouting crap in a speech to a low income blue-collar audience telling them to not bother going to collage, getting a degree in law and then dabble in hedge funds…what? And more recently, to another audience, that America was founded on racism and runs on racism. So in this race we have anger, hate and have of course the race card.

Barack Hussein Obama definitely has some family issues when you consider that his mother is a white atheist, a grandmother a pronounced racist, an agnostic father and a Muslim step- father. There’s diversity for you. Well…the riffs between the two Democratic candidates are truly fun to watch for us conservative Republicans. We’re wondering what liberals would be saying right now if this whole thing were reversed. I hear people talking about how they don’t want Bush in office for a third term, and that this is how it would be if Sen. John McCain takes the White House. How so when you consider that Bush and McCain have knocked heads many times on quite a few different issues. They’ve disagreed with each other a lot, and Bush is nowhere near as liberal-minded on some issues as John McCain has shown himself to be. Again…more amusement for us Republicans.

We’ll let the liberals squirm in their panties while Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton go after each other and annoy the public even more. And John McCain can sit back and start to figure how he plans on running the country.

I've been watching this, too. What seemed like a sure thing for the Democratic party is slowly being undermined by this prolonged campaign. McCain's not without his demons (the lobbyist, John Hagee, etc...), but anything that comes out about him seems to disappear rather quickly. Of course, that could be because there's no merit to any of it or the Republicans are doing a damn fine job of sweeping it all aside.

Well it's the typical liberal that does not want to recognize that Obama has had strong ties to Rev. Wright who promotes the notion of damning America, AIDS is a product of the white man used to kill the black man, he's apparently anti-semitic and Obama wants us to believe that he's never heard sermon's to this effect in the 20 years that he's been attending that church.

I think you're starting to worry "E". This guy that you thought was so spotless maybe isn't and now people are beginning to take another look. I mean....Hillary lied about her Bosnia trip, Obama is lying about Wright is and more and you're worried...you and all of the other Obama groupies. But if you look the other way while these things are going on, if you're not paying attention to the things that his wife Michelle is saying, then you're just blinding yourself.

I know that you want so bad for there to be an Obama White House...but it may not happen, liberals may not get the Oval Office back and it'll be because of Hillary and Barack, and them alone.

Rene...there isn't anything to report and because McCain is a Republican you know damn good and well that if there were anything of substance on John McCain the liberal mainstream media would be all over it! Just like they are anytime else when there might be even the slightest hint of improprieties with a Republican. To deny that the liberal media doesn't behave this way is pure folly.

It's truly surprising that the media which has clearly loved the Clinton's is reporting the negatives on both of them...up to this point and in the liberal media's minds they could do no wrong, no matter what the issue might be. Even though John McCain may not make the best president, I still believe that he's his own man and not a Bush flunkie like some believe. And I also believe that he's an honorable man...unlike some others I can name.

So the attention will remain focused on the liberal presidential candidates and what they're doing, and McCain can just sit back and watch, and knowing that he's done nothing wrong.

Worried about Obama? Hardly. I think he's a man of high integrity and may actually be one of the most honest and straight-talking politicians I've run across. It took a lot more courage to give the speech he gave two weeks ago than it would have been to just turn his back on his pastor like you're suggesting he should.

When it comes down to it, nothing he did regarding Wright was ever going to make someone like you vote for him. The people he has to please are those wavering between him and Hillary Clinton and I believe his speech did that and then some. It was an impressive event, for sure.

I am worried about the Democrats as a whole but not about Obama. In fact I like him more now than I did a month ago.

But I'm sure not gonna vote for that Wright guy, though. You're right about that. Thanks for the warning. Hahaha!

Sure Wright's anger is real...but to tell me and the American people that you sat in those pews for some 20 years and not once heard his racist, hateful sermons? That you never heard the guy spew anti-semitic remarks?

You're blowing it off and saying that you're not going to vote for Rev. Wright. You know that that's not what I'm saying. Joking is fine but in light of this recent Hillary-Bosnia bullshit, and Obama trying to sell us that he never heard any of Wrights crap sermons, and then tells us that Wrights hatred is real and has roots in racism etc...well, what's the difference? He obviously did hear these sermons and sat through them, and who knows how far he went in agreement with them.

Have you taken time to look up the things that Michelle Obama has been saying at her stump speeches? She's as bad, if not worse that Treasa Heinz Kerry. I know that you're real high on Obama and that's fine...but I'm saying we're not getting the whole story on the guy, and I still would like to know what qualifies him to be president.

If you think Obama thinks along the lines of these three Wright sermons that are on an endless loop on Fox News, you're you're just being naive. This is a stupid discussion, actually. But, now that you've brought it up, to make you happy, I won't vote for Michelle Obama for president either. Feel better?

As soon as McCain calls Hagee et all personal friends so close they're like family, or mentors, or spiritual advisors, you might have a valid comparison.

It's not a stupid discussion....although it might be for you because you're so hooked on Barack Obama you'll blind yourself to the questions about the guy.

Obama is so far left that he makes Hillary look like a conservative! And once America start to hear more and more about his policies they may not be so pleased...especially when they see their taxes go through the roof in order to pay for some of the crap he thinks he wants to do.
Liberals keep harping about bringing the troops home immediately with absolutely no regard to the consequences . Obama says that once he takes office his first order of business is to get our troops home; do you all and him not understand what would happen?? Does Obama have any experience at all dealing with terrorism? It'll come right to our doorstep and he'll be lost like a lamb.

All of the experts and all of the generals on the ground say the same thing....that a complete removal of all troops would be wrong and dangerous! Obama...when asked by a reporter about what he would do if we left Iraq all of a sudden, and war broke out in Iraq because of our withdrawal; what would you do then?
He replied by saying that..."well, we'll just send some troops back over there."

Sounds like a plan huh? The man hasn't a clue! You just turn a blind eye to this man and you're willing to give him a free pass to the White House. Liberals love the guy because he is so radical left and he would most assuredly follow the leftist doctrines if he was in the Oval Office....and we would all be in serious trouble! That includes you....

If your responses are so puny as to say things like, "I'll be sure and not vote for Wright" or "I won't vote for Michelle Obama for president either. Feel better?" then there's not much of a debate. If you don't take a good look at some of these issues then you're not making a very fair judgment. And it's not just three speeches that are looped at Fox News...it's also things that Rev. Wright has said and done outside of the church, and Obama has not done much to distance himself from this man. What kind of influence might he have on Obama should he become president? And since Wright is such a fan of Louis Farrahkan are we going to see a more militant black America?

I can be certain that if this were reversed and it was McCain in question you'd be all over it like stink on shit! Oh yes...you would. And you'll notice that the precious liberal media just doesn't have anything on McCain, otherwise he'd be in the news everyday like Obama and Hillary. I've said before several times that John McCain is not my first choice for president but he's a whole lot better that Barack Hussein Obama, or Hillary Rodham Clinton.

No, it's a stupid discussion because (a) he's repudiated the things Wright said in the three inflammatory sermons under discussion, (b) Wright's not running for president, Obama is and (c) nobody with two brain cells to rub together actually thinks that Obama thinks along the same lines as what Wright espoused in those three sermons. Fuck, just a coupla weeks ago you were talking about how he might be a closet Muslim! LOL. Hell, you're not even going to vote for a Democrat. What the hell do you care who we put up?!

Obama is so far left that he makes Hillary look like a conservative!

This just shows how completely ignorant you are with regard to the Democratic race. The plans of the two of them are far more alike than they are different.

Obama says that once he takes office his first order of business is to get our troops home...

Of course it is. Shouldn't that be the first priority of ANY candidate? For Christ's sake, is staying there and losing American lives something you think we should KEEP doing forever? Fortunately most of the rest of America also want to see our men and women brought home.

Does Obama have any experience at all dealing with terrorism?

No. Neither does McCain or Clinton. Neither did Bush or Cheney. This is the New World Order, brought to you in a large way by the Neocon buddies of President Bush.

I am SOOOOO going to love watching Obama clean McCain's clock this fall. It's going to be a joy to behold.

I never suggested that Obama was a closet Muslim, and if I ever did imply such a thing it would've been rhetorical only.

"Hell, you're not even going to vote for a Democrat. What the hell do you care who we put up?!"

The hell you say! I damn sure do care....if either one of those nonsensical candidates would happen to take the office of president it's going to have a profound effect on this country. I don't want my taxes raised and I don't want terrorists at my doorstep.

"This just shows how completely ignorant you are with regard to the Democratic race. The plans of the two of them are far more alike than they are different."

I'm not ignorant and I'm well aware that some of their ideas are similar...but Obama's policies and way of thinking are way left of center. I'm not saying that Hillary isn't, just not quite as left as he is.

"Of course it is. Shouldn't that be the first priority of ANY candidate?"

You just don't get it do ya?? Can't you see and understand the dire consequences of a complete withdrawal from Iraq?? The threat to them is as great as the threat to us! The surge has been and is working and it must be followed through with...Patraus has said this time and again, and he and his fellow generals are all saying that an immediate withdrawal would be a very dangerous thing to do; for us and for the Iraqis.

"Fortunately most of the rest of America also want to see our men and women brought home."

How ridiculous! If you're insinuating that I don't want our troops home then you're just plain nuts! Of course we all want them home, just not the way the liberals are proposing. And not only are most of our troops saying this but most of America as well. They seem to understand just how bad it could be if we withdraw the way you want.

"I am SOOOOO going to love watching Obama clean McCain's clock this fall. It's going to be a joy to behold."

Right now, at this point in the game that's only wishful thinking on your part. You have absolutely no idea what might ensue in the next few months and nor do you know what might happen in the general elections. You do not know whose clock is going to get cleaned.
