Geez-Oh_Man!!! A guy can't go away for even a little while without coming back to find out that there's ANOTHER freakin' EFX!! You know....I just wanted a nice quiet little bit of time to myself, maybe take sometime to relax and get caught up with the goings-ons 'round here....and oh my, another one. I'm, I'm, I'm.....I'm, soooooo CONFUSED! I'm still blessed with a full head of hair, but I dunno, it may start falling out soon! Or, I'll have to go get some of that Grecian Hair Formula for men....that's ok, I don't mind the little bit of gray that I do have. Makes me look distinguished yeah.

Of course I'm only laughing about this, but sheesh, I'm tired enough as it is. EFX is trying to make me think, and that's a very dangerous thing indeed my friends. Dontcha just hate when your head explodes from thinking too much? That happens to me say, oh, maybe, 3-4 times a week.....hurts sometimes. Oh well. Truth be told I didn't have a whole lot to say today.....imagine that! It's been a long hard couple a weeks and there's catching up around here that needs doin' so I 'spect I'll handle that for now. Give me time to think, uh, no, uh, I mean, ponder what I'll come back with...hows that?

But my final thought for now is this. As long as there is one person around here still breathin', still typin', still yappin', then that's where you'll find me.

The site was down for half an hour or so earlier. I don't think people realise that it's still very much under construction, as much as I keep saying it. It's not finished! We're still working on it! There will be outages! Says right there in the very first blog post on the main page :D

But having said that... Now that you have started this new adventure, you will need to be prepared for the complaints, because with this or any site, you will get them. I think it just comes with the territory. That's probably why Keith disappears for so long each time, lol.

Well Pixie....I think you're doing a good and right thing and I am sure it's appreciated. Sadly though, as in so many times in the past, it just doesn't seem to matter how many times you say it or how you say it.....folks aren't going to read and then seem to forget that something's under construction, then when it goes down for a while, well, bitch, bitch, bitch! Let em.

I can't see any point in getting my blood pressure up over something that in many cases, can't be helped. And if I felt that I had something important to say at the time of a down time, and if it was that important to me, then it'll keep....right??

And Laurie-doo is right, some people are going to complain no matter what, I mean, after all, is life really worth living if you can't have something to complain about?

I'm going to have to get the gumption up to get over to # 3 and sign up and cruise around to see what's what. Of course while I have every intention of staying here, I do want to be in the other places where my friends are, (and you all know who you are), and if # 3 has the same kind of interaction as 2 does....then so be it.

perhaps this is why the complaints were dragged onto the front page - to make an example of unnecessary criticism but that is up to the host's discretion. i know that some people feel the situation was handled "unprofessionally" (was efx ever known for its professionalism when it's always been a hobbyist effort?)

if a guest is unhappy with their host then they can simply go somewhere else and there are plenty of hosts to choose from

Exactly! Or....better yet, go to one of the hosts that charge you to be there. Yep....that's for me!

Ya know....I'm just too tired anymore to complain about much, and that pretty much goes for most anything. But psyphen, as you pointed out, it's a hobbyist effort and host and that needs to be remembered because after all, in the end we are guests.

I can remember when I first came to the first EFX that there was a number of on-going complaints.....can't remember specifics but I do remember Keith getting pretty grumpy at some folks at his, (sort of), feedback site. And his taking on the attitude of, "well if you don't like it then go somewhere else." Which ultimately is the only appropriate response....said politely of course. Hmmm....guess that leaves me out eh?

Y'all have a talent in this field that I wish I had a better grasp of. If I only had some sort of hands on teacher....and the time, I'd love to learn. But I just leave these things to folks like you and Pixie et al and then hope that you make things that dummy-heads like me can follow. I mean....sometimes ya gotta talk to me like I'm a 4 year old! lol

Laurie....I'm a Zep-Head from way, way back! Had the good fortune to have seen them live 4 times. Sometimes even their heaviest of stuff can be soothing, especially when dramatics start happening. Like around my house when young people act like.....well, young people.
